Ravi S. Bhatia, Managing Principal & Founder, PLG Consulting
Ravi has over 25 years of real estate, construction and infrastructure project leadership experience on high-visibility projects for Fortune 500 clients, multinational corporations and large public institutions.
He provides high-level program consulting, strategic risk and financial advisory services to private-equity investors, developers, financial institutions and owners. These advisory and management services span hotels, commercial office, high-end residential and infrastructure projects. Services include pre-acquisition due diligence, construction risk assessment, project feasibility analysis, procurement strategy, cost engineering, estimating, budgeting, claims analysis and litigation support.
Previously, Ravi worked as Project Executive for Madison Equities, an iconic real estate developer in New York City. In this role, he spearheaded the construction and development of boutique residential, hotel and commercial high-rise projects.
Ravi has held leadership positions in real estate development, construction management, general construction, subcontracting, telecommunications and technology/systems integration. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (Polytechnic University), a MBA (Hofstra University) and a M.S. in Telecommunications and Information Management (Polytechnic University). He is currently enrolled in Stanford University’s SDRM (Strategic Decision & Risk Mgmt.) program. He is a registered P.E. (N.Y. State) and a certified PMP. He completed GE’s prestigious sales engineering program (TMP) in 1985 and attended Alstom’s Project Leadership in Action training program in 2003 (in Paris). In 2011, he became a member of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).
Ravi is a visiting professor at Georgetown University, teaching international real estate. He served as an adjunct professor at NYU from 2005 to 2012 where he taught graduate-level courses in construction project management, technology project management, negotiation, cost control and risk management.
Professional memberships include Project Management Institute, Global Association of Risk Professionals, CFA Institute and New York Society of Security Analysts.
Ravi is an experienced public speaker, trainer and lecturer and has presented for high-profile real estate, business and media organizations.
